Imprimis: Orwell’s 1984 and Today by Larry P. Arnn, President, Hillsdale College

Good/honest & truthful education is one of the most urgent needs we face in USA today. For this reason I do my best to support Hillsdale Free Online College Courses. I do this so you, or your children, may experience an even better education than I enjoyed. Check it out!

If you believe any information is ever misrepresented or there are ever doubts about the Hillsdale US History education accuracy you can usually find "original documents at Wallbuilders Library. They have a massive library of "original documents" you can verify for yourself. Don't trust your educators or their text books when you can look at the original document and see for yourself!

Above please compare/contrast the "Hack Job" opinion of the Washington Post against the actual 1776 Commission Report

Having read the WaPo opinion and their criticism about the 1776 commission report, I believe they are blatantly misleading their readers about the extensive expertise of all the members on the commission. Having taught writing and editing I see they've resorted to the most dishonest and misleading statements possible in any opinion pieces. Here they present their hand picked "experts" to criticize the members of the commission as they know if they come out and say what they are implying outright they'll be exposed to libel lawsuits.

One of the first things I notice in the 1776 commission report is that President of Hillsdale college and one of the best US historians in the country Larry Arnn is the Chairman of the 1776 commission. This is the man who has engineered Hillsdale College into possibly the best higher education establishment in the United States. President Arnn's US history credentials are unsurpassed. I also notice several highly respected experts among the members of the commission.

Then for contrast I go to Veritas.org and see their "Wall of Shame" has multiple 'retractions' from Washington Post for false and negligent reporting on news of the utmost urgency to the public.

One of the most frustrating things for me over the last several decades is realizing that what I've been told is true about news and history from "reliable" news sources and public education is that believing those trusted sources I've ended up on the sour end of many conversations about "the truth" and "facts". It is just disgraceful that the truth is "out there" and not terribly difficult to discover if you are only willing to read sources you don't already agree with and do your own background fact checking.

I discovered the website Wallbuilders that I mentioned earlier from watching shows about religion. Turns out that the separation of church and state, for example, has been grossly misrepresented to the public. This is one of a wide variety of completely false pretenses and outright lies one gets by trusting "news" and "eduction".

While all my children are grown, and many of their children finished with their education, If I could send any fellow citizen to get the the best education money could buy, I'd send those precious children to Hillsdale College -- even if I could send them to Yale, Harvard, or Oxford for free. I have come to deeply respect Hillsdale's ethics and honesty.

Alternately the WaPo is owned by Jeff Bezos, billionaire owner of Amazon.com, who has extreme social agendas and does not hesitate to sacrifice integrity at WaPo to mislead his subscribers. For reference check Veritas Project "Wall of shame". This is a wall of framed "retractions" forced by Veritas upon negligent or misleading journalist who have misled their subscribers. Their "Wall of Shame" is a collection of retracted untrue stories, forced upon those with questionable ethics. The Washington Post is peppered among the hundreds of retractions.

A Bonus Novella from K.F. Breene, I've stuffed here in order to remember to read it!
